Building a Social Europe
After the French and Dutch rejection of the EU Constitution, we have come into a "period of reflection" on how we want our future Europe. Therefore, the Centre for a Social Europe has produced a pamphlet named Building a social Europe: The trade union case for EU reform that is launched during the on-going TUC Conference.
The splendid leader of the UK's largest union Unison Dave Prentis, as well as the chief economist of Swedish Handels Stefan Carlén, are contributors to this pamphlet. In his article, Dave Prentis refers to the Vaxholm conflict that is vibrantly debated in trade unions all over Europe. As a Research Fellow of the Centre for a Social Europe, I have also taken a small part in the production of the pamphlet as you can see.
Please read the pamphlet, it gives a very good introduction to the debate on the post-referenda debate on the future of the EU.
